Remote control

A handset that comes in the box. Works like a TV remote. Press a button to turn it on, set the temperature, or switch between heat and cool. Batteries last about a year.

Touchscreen on the unit

A small screen on the front. Tap it to set the temperature or switch modes. Useful if you misplace the remote.

Daily and weekly schedule

Set the unit to warm your room before you wake up, or cool it before you come home. Once set, it runs automatically. Change it whenever you like.

Holiday mode

Going away? One button drops the temperature to a low setting that stops the room getting too cold but keeps electricity use very low.

No app, on purpose

FIRE+ICE doesn’t need a phone app. No WiFi connection, no software updates, nothing to log into. The remote and the touchscreen handle everything — same as a TV.

1 · The pump

A small pump that moves the heat. Variable speed — runs slowly most of the time, faster when the room is cold. Uses R32 refrigerant, sealed at the factory. PFAS-free per EU classification.

2 · Heat exchanger

Moves heat between the air and the pump. Same part does both jobs — warming in winter, cooling in summer. Aluminium and copper. Sealed at the factory, no servicing needed.

3 · The fan

Pushes warm or cool air into your room. Very quiet — 27 dB at its lowest setting, like a soft whisper. Quiet enough to sleep next to.

4 · Two air pipes

Two pipes inside the unit connect to two holes in the outside wall. One brings air in, one sends it out. Round covers on the outside hide them.

5 · Backup heater

A 1.8 kW electric heater built in. Switches on automatically when it’s very cold outside and the heat pump alone isn’t enough. No setting to fiddle with.

6 · Water drain

When the unit cools the room in summer, a small amount of water collects inside. A thin pipe drains it to the outside. No bucket to empty.

2-year warranty

If anything goes wrong in the first 2 years, it’s fixed free. Parts and labour. CleverBloom handles the paperwork — you just call us.

Built in Austria

Made by Etherma in Henndorf, Austria. Etherma has been building electric heating products since 1981. Carries the ehpa Q European Quality Label for heat pumps.

Clean the filter

Lift the front cover, take out the mesh filter, wash it under the tap, dry, put back. 5 minutes. Do this once a month while it’s being used a lot.

Yearly service (optional)

One visit a year by a CleverBloom engineer. Deep clean inside, check it’s running well, top up if needed. Keeps the warranty valid and stops small problems becoming big ones.

R32 refrigerant

Sealed inside the unit at the factory. No special handling needed during normal use. PFAS-free per EU classification — meets current and proposed F-gas rules.

No VAT on the install

The UK government has removed VAT on heat pump installations until March 2027. That saves you 20% on the install cost. CleverBloom handles the paperwork.
