sMove s4 / s8 controller

Hardwired wall controller, 5-year manufacturer warranty. s4 covers up to 4 units, s8 up to 8 units across multiple rooms. Capacitive touch buttons switch between operating modes.

Four ventilation modes

Four pre-defined airflow levels selected at the controller. Modes correspond to humidity-protection, reduced, nominal, and intensive ventilation per DIN 1946-6.

Infinite slider

For finer control beyond the four presets, the slider allows infinitely variable airflow. Useful for tuning to actual occupant load in conference rooms and classrooms.

CS1 CO₂ sensor (optional)

Watches room CO₂ and triggers the sMove to ramp ventilation upward when the threshold is crossed — typically 1000 ppm. Critical for high-occupancy rooms where occupant load varies through the day.

Boost function

15-minute timed boost at the controller — for clearing odours, post-meeting CO₂ build-up, or rapid air change after a class. Returns to the previously set mode automatically.

Pause function

Temporarily stop ventilation for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. Auto-resumes at the previously set mode. Useful overnight in commercial buildings.

Frost protection

Operating range −20 to +50°C. Below −20°C the unit pauses to prevent ice formation on the ceramic core, then resumes when conditions allow.

MZ-Home option

For multi-zone buildings (multi-tenant offices, school floors), the MZ-Home controller manages up to 16 units across 4 ventilation zones with independent control logic per zone.

Wall opening

Ø270 mm core hole. Minimum wall thickness 260 mm. The larger drilling accommodates the higher-airflow Ø250 mm wall sleeve and EFP fan assembly.

Wall sleeve D250

Standard R-D250 wall sleeve with Inventin® sound-insulating shell. Optional Simplex R-D250 installation block for new construction with pre-installed sleeve.

Xenion® EFP reversing fan

Higher-performance fan variant with increased speed. Brushless DC, built-in temperature monitor and wind-pressure stabiliser. Reverses every 70 seconds. S2 classification per DIN EN 13141-8.

Ceramic accumulator

Honeycomb thermal storage core with Inventin® insulation. Absorbs outgoing heat in 70 s, releases on reversal. 88% recovery rate — the highest in the wall-mounted family.

Flair XL inner cover

Sound-insulating internal panel 280 × 280 mm with integrated G4 filter (ISO Coarse 60%). White RAL 9010 standard. Larger than the standard inVENTer Flair to suit the high-airflow Office.

Flex Office weather hood

External protective hood 279 × 313 mm with driving-rain protection. Choice of white (RAL 9016), grey (RAL 9006), or anthracite (RAL 7016).

Inventin® sound insulation

Multi-layer Inventin® shell delivers 49–55 dB Dn,e,w sound level difference — the highest passive sound rating in the iV family. Compliant with noise-sensitive offices and schools.

Energy class

A+ in cold climate, A in average climate. ErP / Ecodesign rated, KfW Efficiency House proven.

5 year warranty

inVENTer covers the unit for 5 years from commissioning. Manufactured in Germany since 1999. ISO 9001 quality system, full CE conformity.

25+ year design life

Ceramic accumulator has no degradation path. Xenion brushless fans rated 50,000+ hours continuous operation. Inventin insulation does not settle or compress.

Filter change

Every 6–12 months — pull out the filter cartridge, slot in new one. Choice of pollen, activated carbon, or PM2.5 fine particulate. Takes 2 minutes per unit.

No service contract

No annual servicing required. No smart subscriptions, no remote monitoring fees. The unit just runs.

No refrigerant

Purely mechanical — fans, ceramic, no F-gas. No regulated handling, no leak risk, no phase-out concerns.
