sMove s4 controller

Hardwired wall controller for up to 4 iV-Smart+ units. 5-year manufacturer warranty. Capacitive touch buttons switch between operating modes.

Four ventilation modes

Four pre-defined airflow levels selected at the controller. Switching is instant via capacitive buttons. Modes correspond to humidity-protection, reduced, nominal, and intensive ventilation per DIN 1946-6.

Infinite slider

For finer control beyond the four presets, the slider allows infinitely variable airflow adjustment. Useful for fine-tuning to exact room volume or occupancy.

Boost function

15-minute timed boost at the controller — for clearing odours, post-cooking, or rapid air change after gatherings. Returns to the previously set mode automatically.

Pause function

Temporarily stop ventilation for 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours. Auto-resumes at the previously set mode. Useful when leaving the home or during loud activity.

Three operating modes

Heat recovery (default — Xenion fan reverses every 70 seconds), ventilation (single-direction without HR), and pause/stop. Selectable at the controller.

Frost protection

Operating range −20 to +50°C. Below −20°C the unit pauses to prevent ice formation on the ceramic core, then resumes when conditions allow.

Operating hours counter

Built into the sMove — useful for scheduling filter cleaning at consistent intervals (typically 3–6 months).

Optional sensor add-ons

For automatic demand-control, add a CS1 CO₂ sensor or HYG18/HYG12 humidistat to the sMove. The controller then ramps airflow when sensor thresholds are crossed.

Wall opening

Ø180 mm core hole. Minimum wall thickness 270 mm. The smaller core drill suits walls with limited width — between window reveals, near corners, near services.

Wall sleeve D160

Standard 495 mm length R-D160 wall sleeve. 745 mm available for thicker walls. Simplex installation block option includes pre-installed sleeve with integrated slope.

Xenion® reversible fan

Brushless DC fan with built-in temperature monitor and wind-pressure stabiliser. Reverses direction every 70 seconds. S3 classification per DIN EN 13141-8.

Ceramic accumulator

Honeycomb thermal storage core, identical hardware to the iV-Zero family. Absorbs outgoing heat in 70 s, releases on reversal. No moving parts, 25+ year design life.

inVENTron® control logic

Embedded fan and wind-pressure controller. Stabilises airflow against external wind and modulates frost protection.

Flair inner cover

Sound-insulating internal panel 233 × 233 mm with integrated filter housing. White RAL 9010 standard. Wired into the sMove controller.

Flex weather hood

External protective hood 279 × 313 mm with driving-rain protection. Choice of white (RAL 9016), grey (RAL 9006), or anthracite (RAL 7016) — no upcharge for stocked colours.

Standard wall mounting

Mounted into the standard R-D160 wall sleeve with insulating wall plugs and mounting wedges. Tested for airtight install in cavity walls and solid masonry alike.

A+ in cold climate, A in average climate. ErP / Ecodesign rated, KfW Efficiency House proven across Germany.

5 year warranty

inVENTer covers the unit for 5 years from commissioning. Manufactured in Germany since 1999. ISO 9001 quality system, full CE conformity.

25+ year design life

Ceramic accumulator has no degradation path. Xenion brushless fans rated 50,000+ hours continuous operation. Inventin insulation does not settle or compress.

Filter change

Every 6–12 months — pull out the filter cartridge, slot in new one. Choice of pollen, activated carbon, or PM2.5 fine particulate. Takes 2 minutes per unit.

Optional pollen filter

Upgrade for hay-fever sufferers and high-pollen areas. Activated-carbon variant available for traffic-fronted homes (NOx, odours).

No service contract

No annual servicing required. No smart subscriptions, no remote monitoring fees. The unit just runs.

No refrigerant

Purely mechanical — fans, ceramic, no F-gas. No regulated handling, no leak risk, no phase-out concerns.
