A small radiator that punches above its weight

A normal steel radiator needs hot water (65–75°C) to put out enough heat. Strada Hybrid does the same job with cooler water (35–45°C). That's what makes it work properly with a heat pump — a heat pump runs much more efficiently on cooler water.

Low water, fast response

The radiator holds 90% less water than a steel panel. Less water means it warms up in under 10 minutes — about the time it takes to make a cup of tea. A steel radiator can take 30 minutes or more.

A quiet small fan inside boosts the output

A quiet electric fan sits behind the front grille. It blows the warm air out faster than convection alone, which means the radiator can be much smaller for the same heat output. About the size of an A1 sheet of paper, not a full-wall panel.

Switches itself between heat and cool

When the water coming in is warm, the radiator heats the room. When the water is cool (heat pumps can run in reverse in summer), the same radiator gently cools the room. No buttons to press — it senses the water and switches automatically.

Safe to touch

The hot water sits inside a small heat exchanger, hidden behind the casing. The outside of the radiator never gets hot enough to burn — safe if a child leans against it or a pet curls up beside it.

Breeze mode without a heat pump

If you don't have a heat pump yet, the fan can still run on its own in the summer to circulate air — like a small ceiling fan. Useful in a heatwave even before the cooling water arrives.

Output Boost 2–3× The DBH fan boosts heat output by 2–3 times compared to the same radiator without the fan. Tested per EN 16430.
Flow Temperature 30–45°C Full output at heat-pump-friendly flow temperatures — 30–45°C. Compare with steel panel radiators which typically need 65–75°C.
Water Content 90% less Holds 90% less water than an equivalent steel panel radiator. KIWA-certified to save 9–16% on heating energy.
Fan Noise 26–47 dB(A) Three speeds tested per ISO 3741:2010. Bedroom mode is quieter than a library; comfort mode quieter than a quiet office; boost mode like background music.
Fan Power 5–31 W 5.1 W (smallest radiator) up to 31.4 W (largest). About the same as an LED bulb. Plugs into a normal socket.
Modes Heat · Cool Heating, light cooling (non-condensing), Auto Change Over (switches automatically), and Breeze (fan only, no water).
Min Size 350 mm H Smallest radiator is 350 mm tall × 500 mm wide. Largest is 650 mm tall × 2,800 mm wide. Many colours available.
Warranty 30 yr 30-year warranty on the Low-H2O heat exchanger. One of the longest in the UK radiator market.
Retrofit Yes DBH fans can be added to existing Jaga Low-H2O radiators (Strada, Tempo, Guardian, Maxi 2020, Linea Plus). Future-proof for a heat-pump upgrade.
Made In Belgium Built in Diepenbeek, Belgium, by Jaga. Patented Low-H2O technology launched 2000. UK warranty and parts support.

Easy controls

Three speeds and a smart auto-mode that runs the radiator for you.

Auto (the default)

Sensors in the radiator measure the water temperature and the room temperature. It picks the right fan speed for you — quiet in the morning, faster if the room is cold. You don't have to do anything.

Bedroom speed

Maximum 26 dB(A) — quieter than a library. Sleep-suitable. Use this in bedrooms or anywhere quiet is essential.

Comfort speed

Maximum 30 dB(A) — like soft rainfall. The everyday setting for living rooms, kitchens, hallways. Almost inaudible while you're moving around the room.

Boost speed

Heats or cools the room quickly when you first come in. 42–47 dB(A) — noticeable, like a TV. Only runs for 15-minute periods, then drops back to comfort.

Breeze mode

Fan-only setting for summer days when you don’t have cooling water. Just air movement. Won’t cool the air, but makes it feel cooler.

Existing thermostats work

Works with your regular wall thermostat, Nest, Hive, or whatever you have. No special CleverBloom controls needed.

Installation

Straightforward swap for an existing radiator. Half a day per unit, less mess than a steel panel.

01 Phone chat Free · 20 min Tell us how many rooms, current heating system (boiler or heat pump), and any heat-pump plans. We size each radiator for the room. Written quote in 2 days.
02 Home visit 1 hour Engineer measures each room, checks current radiators and pipework, confirms there’s an electrical socket near each new radiator for the DBH fan. Final price agreed.
03 Fitting day Half a day per radiator Old radiator drained and removed. Pipework adjusted if needed. New Strada Hybrid mounted on the wall. Valves connected, fan plugged in. System refilled and bled.
04 How to use it 15 min We turn it on with you, show you the three speeds, set it to Auto mode. Confirm the room temperature comes up. Make sure you’re happy before we leave.

Components

A wall radiator with a few small additions that make it work properly with a heat pump.

1 · Low-H2O heat exchanger

A small aluminium-and-copper coil holds the hot water. 90% less water than a steel panel radiator. That’s the patented Jaga technology — same exchanger has a 30-year warranty.

2 · DBH fan unit

A small electric fan behind the grille. Plugs into a normal socket. Boosts heat output by 2–3 times. Uses about as much power as an LED bulb (5–31 W depending on the radiator size).

3 · Cool-touch front panel

The visible front of the radiator. Powder-coated metal in white, sandblast grey or off-black as standard. Stays cool to the touch even when the radiator is running hot.

4 · Aluminium grille

The top grille where warm or cool air comes out. Slim and discreet. Lifts off for cleaning.

5 · Sensors

Two small sensors — one measures the water temperature inside the radiator, one measures the room temperature. They tell the fan when to run and how fast.

6 · Concealed valves

The hot water pipes connect inside the casing, out of sight. No exposed pipework, no shabby valve handles on display. Tidy installation.

Looking after it

Designed to last 30 years. Almost nothing to maintain.

30-year warranty

On the Low-H2O heat exchanger. One of the longest warranties in the UK radiator industry. Casing warranted separately.

Built in Belgium

Made by Jaga in Diepenbeek. Jaga has been building radiators since 1962. The Low-H2O exchanger is their patented design from 2000.

Wipe-clean casing

Powder-coated metal — wipe with a soft damp cloth occasionally. That’s it.

Lift the grille for the fan

Once a year, lift the top grille and dust the fan unit. 5 minutes. Optional but recommended.

No water side maintenance

Less water inside means less sludge build-up than a steel panel. We add a magnetic filter and corrosion inhibitor at install — standard for any modern heating system.

No VAT on the install

UK government has removed VAT on heating installs until March 2027 when paired with energy-saving heat pump systems. CleverBloom handles the paperwork.
