Manual control (standard)

Wall-mounted 3-speed selector (low, medium, high). Simple and reliable for small spaces. No electronic controls or sensors required.

Optional: humidity-demand control

Adds automatic speed adjustment based on indoor RH. Ramps to low speed at <40% RH, medium at 40–60%, high at >60%. Reduces unnecessary fan runtime in dry conditions.

Manual override

Boost function for peak demand (showering, cooking). Simple mechanical control — no programming required.

Summer bypass damper

Manual or thermostatic. When outdoor air is warmer than indoor, damper opens to bypass the heat exchanger. Fresh air enters without cooling from the core.

01 Location Narrow external wall cavity (80+ mm void), service riser, or partition recess. No ceiling void required. Smallest unit in the Komfovent range — ideal for tight retrofit spaces.

02 Duct routing Supply air: external wall grille. Extract air: bathroom or kitchen. Flexible ducting through partition voids. Minimal disruption in tight apartment layouts.

03 Electrical 230 V, single-phase. Very low power draw (~30–50 W at mid-speed). Standard household circuit. Minimal wiring required.

04 Fit day process Phone consultation → fit day (unit mounted, ductwork integrated, controls tested) → use walkthrough. No separate site survey — engineer checks conditions on fit day.

Supply-side Filter G4 (standard) or F7 activated carbon G4 for clean-air areas. F7 for London and urban environments. Small cartridges suit compact housing.

Extract-side Filter G4 dust Protects the enthalpy core from lint and kitchen grease. Change every 6–12 months depending on occupancy.

Filter Change Interval 6–12 months typical EC motor load increases visibly when filters clog. Visual inspection hatches show condition. Low-speed operation may indicate supply-side blockage.
